By establishing an endowed scholarship at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) at the Aga Khan University, MAVENS & Co is contributing to shaping the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change makers in perpetuity.

Our support will enable exceptionally bright students to pursue a world-class liberal arts education, equipping them with the critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills necessary to drive meaningful change across sectors in Pakistan and beyond. Currently more than 75% of students at FAS receive Financial Assistance.

Graduates of FAS are prepared to take on diverse roles in public service, international development, law, health communication, academia, social work, journalism, economics, and more. No matter which path they choose, these students will carry forward the values of rigorous inquiry and open-minded engagement, tackling complex global challenges through innovative, interdisciplinary solutions.

AKU-EB’s Middle School Programme (MSP) enables students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 to go through an enriching, project-based learning experience that fosters critical 21st-century skills, leadership, and a lifelong love for learning. Over the course of three years, MSP nurtures and support the students by promoting deep conceptual understanding, intellectual growth, and emotional development. By moving beyond rote memorization, the MSP equips learners to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop the attitudes needed to thrive in the modern world.

In the remote regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, families place a high value on education and often make significant sacrifices to send their children to school. However, systemic inequities and financial constraints limit their access to modern, student-centered pedagogies. Guided by its vision and mission, AKU-EB has continued to deliver the Middle School Programme (MSP) in these areas, recognizing its proven impact on student learning and the development of 21st-century skills. Recently, however, rising operational costs have placed the long-term sustainability of the programme at serious risk, making it increasingly difficult for AKU-EB to continue without additional support.

Thanks to the generosity of Mavens & Co, approximately 10,000 AKES,P students enrolled in the MSP across Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral will continue to benefit from this transformative educational experience. This collaborative model not only eases the financial burden on families but also ensures the long-term sustainability of the MSP in these underserved regions.
